Doomed: Are we ?

From the pictures it is obvious the Selena got an all expenses paid vacation to Ondo State.
She spent 70% of her time at Parties and Site Seeing. Sure the guys that invited her got mileage from showing of their "White Expert". What did the (TAXPAYERS) People of the State benefit from the $200,000 that was spent in bringing Selena to Ondo State for 7 days ???? .

Africa.... we are doomed.....

There goes an anonymous post, on the personal blog of the ‘IT consultant’ that the Ondo  state government hired into town recently  here

I am still gathering more information on the ‘in-house project’ on account of which she flew into Akure.

What would be of fare more interesting dimension is how much RoI the state government expects from the ongoing investment in the ‘unknown’ IT project.

As mentioned already,  expect a full treatment of this issue in due course.

Pointless House of Assembly. Pointless Politicking. Pointless Sideshows.

The so-called House of Assemblys’  in Nigeria are most of the times, a bunch folks gathered together without any slight hint or focus, what a state legislature is all about.

The House of Assembly had summoned the Finance Commissioner, Wale Akinterinwa and his Information Commissioner to appear before it yesterday to shed more light on the discovery of the said secret accounts.

There goes the latest piece of debate the Ondo state house of assembly is having as reported here

What is more disconcerting is the ease with which the present state government is allowing itself to get dragged, if not bogged down with these things.

It should not be difficult one presupposes; you found secret accounts, you get a crack team to investigate it, you publish a report; you instruct the right department to punish as necessary….

Except, its pointless politicking. Pointless Sideshow as ongoing in Ondo state.

One hopes someone finds the grace and time to remind this government, that so much hope, lies on their capacity to represent vision; Not at creating shows, but resolving hard-pressing problems….

“unknown” Centralised I.T. management system…

Apparently,  there is some ‘expert’ flying into Akure today in respect for some clearly under-annouced IT project,  that is being developed in-house.

Here for the full snippet.

Let’s hope the government does more to pre-inform its citizenry of this things.

Would be monitoring this, and posting updates in due course.
