It is now over 30days since the first-half of the Ondo state electoral tribunal 'duel' between Olusegun Agagu and Olusegun Mimiko ended with a half-time ruling that Agagu did not win the state election last year. ref:
Is it not disgraceful that our warped "soldier-go-soldier-leave" constitution allows that an invalidated election profiteer continues to 'enjoy' the dividends of his fraud for this long?
I am unaware of any form of Appeal from the Agagu camp, and there's been no updates regarding the next move, talkless of timeline, from INEC.
While I cannot find an online copy of the Electoral Act, it will be quite interesting to see where the Agagu camp takes their case.
I overheard a conversation with a Labour party decampee(!politician) suggesting that the Agagu camp are practically and literarily afraid of leaving Akure to represent their case because of a supposed "ogun-shall-kill-whoever-appeals" spell currently in force.
To paraphrase the politician over the phone "won ni Agagu ati awon PDP ti bo Ogun" against any appeal of the case, even before the Tribunal delivered its ruling. Ha! As it is said in Akure "meee--ho".
