Ondo state Ministry of Works Website...

There goes one of the pages on http://ondominworks.com/

One can only presume this is a work-in-progress ( even then, it should not be public! ) so we will keep an eye.

A full review will be written in a month's time.

For now, You just have to say to the developer(s), we don't need a full-sized image of Mr. Dawodu Igbekele. That's facebook stuff...

The Deji of Akure & Cars...

"Those who can afford new cars are not too many. That is why government should change its policy by allowing cars manufactured after 15 years to be imported into the country.
“I am not saying the nation should be turned to a dumping ground but we must consider the downtrodden masses,” he added.

There goes the Deji of Akure,  Adebiyi Adesida, as in the report here.

If the Deji thinks the biggest problem facing the downtrodden masses ( and who are the down-trodders ? ) is the ownership, or lack of it, of cars, then you have to say there is a BIG problem.

It is more like a problem of mindset.

First of all, importation of cars - more cars - means capital flight. You don't want to encourage this.

Two, how about buses ? It works in other climes you know.

Mass transportation buses, that can be carefully deployed to ensure people move from point A to point B...

And you then have to wonder if did occur to him, that the more cars there are, the more there are bound to be more traffic.

Which begs the ultimate question, where are the roads ?

Let's not even mention the so apparent mindset of import, import, import.

There are always different solutions to problems, but can we not be suffered with less than watery propositions please ?
